Union Corporate Center Designated AT&T FiberPark

he official announcement was made by John Sondag, President, AT&T Missouri, at a luncheon held at ADB Utility Contractors, a growing company located in the Union Corporate Center.
President Sondag, spoke of the importance to business to have a fast and consistent way to communicate with the rest of the world. The investment by AT&T to extend fiber optic cable into the UCC will enable The City of Union to market this up-to-date technology to prospective industries and existing industries, hopefully creating jobs for Union and the entire Franklin County region.
Over the past four years, AT&T has invested more than $2 billion in their Missouri networks.
The Union Corporate Center is AT&T Missouri’s eighth Certified FiberPark in Missouri. Other Certified FiberParks are located in Kirksville, Mexico and St. Louis, in addition to others.
This honor is the second bestowed upon the Union Corporate Center within a year. In August 2011 the Union Corporate Center received the State of Missouri designation as a State of Missouri Certified Site. The certification of a site is performed through a comprehensive review of items including the availability of utilities, site access, environmental concerns, land use conformance, and potential site development costs. Having a site “certified” reduces the risk associated with development of particular sites by providing up front and consistent information.
The Union Corporate Center is the only industrial site within the St. Louis Metropolitan area to have both “certified” site designations.
