Lawn Chair Movie Nights -- Free family movies are shown on select Friday evenings at the Main park by the large pavilion. All friends of the community are invited. All you have to do is bring a lawn chair and a blanket. Free admission. Coolers are welcome All shows will start at approximately 8:00 pm or when it gets dark enough. May 19, 2017: Sing, June 16: The Secret Life of Pets, July 21: Finding Dory, August 18: Pete's Dragon, September 1: The Jungle Book. Movies are subject to change due to availability of the movie.
Family Night Concert Series -- Come enjoy a variety of music at the large pavilion in the City Park. The band will play from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and is free to the public. Coolers are welcome. May 5, 2017: Crossfire, June 2, 2017: Texas Giants, July 7, 2017: "8 Track", August 4, 2017: Pik'n Lik'n, September 1, 2016: "Fanfare Entertainment".
Founders Day, June 3, 2017 -- First Saturday in June. A celebration in the main park featuring craft booths, a fun run/walk, family music, children's activities and games. Entertainment until midnight. See Schedule.
Doggie Day, August 15, 2017 -Time: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Place: Union Swimplex, Cost: $4.00 for pet and owner Dog days of summer getting you down? Bring man’s best friend and come cool off in our beautiful pool. Owners are responsible for cleaning up any accidents. Dogs must be accompanied by an adult. You may use your punch card for this event.
Halloween Bash, October 27, 2017-- Held at the Large Pavilion in the main park. Ages 10 and under, the costume contest will start around 6:15pm. Spooky hay rides, refreshments and a lot more.
Children's Christmas Party, December 8, 2017 -- Held in the Union City Auditorium. Children ages 2 to 10 years old. The doors will open right after the parade. The parade starts at 5:30pm, refreshments, face painting, balloon sculpting. Visit with Santa and get your picture taken, please bring your own camera. Party is free but donations of can goods are being accepted to help supply the food pantry.
