How to Get Involved

Grant Station Park clean up

Throughout the year, volunteers of all ages play a vital role in improving our parks department, recreation programs and open space.

Community Outreach Volunteers
The Park Board participates in a number of community events including Founder's Day, children's programs and other special events.

Make a Donation
A donation program has been established to encourage individuals, businesses, and community organizations to  participate in enhancing Union’s parks, programs and open space by making a  tax-deductible gift that will last a lifetime.

We have benches and plaques available as a memorial that can be dedicated for friends and loved ones. The  bench and plaque will be placed within one of our parks.park_donationsYou can also give a dojaycee pavillionnation to the Parks & Recreation Department for one of our events or to help improve our parks, baseball fields, softball complex, just to name a few. Help us improve the community in which you live.

Volunteers in Parks
Volunteers work on projects to enhance parks and natural areas. Improve Union’s parks by planting shrubs, flowers, and trees; cleaning up litter and debris; installing tables, benches and playground equipment; and removing invasive plants.

Adopt a Street/Park Program
Organizations, businesses and individuals can make a difference in their community by adopting a City Street or City Park and commit to clean up litter on a regular basis. Complete an Adopt a Street/Park Program form and submit to the Parks & Recreation Department.
