Disabled Veterans Memorial
|Fundraising in underway to construct a Disabled Veterans Memorial within the Veterans Memorial Park in the City of Union, Missouri.
Missouri Pathfinders, a not for profit corporation, is leading the fundraising efforts. Missouri Pathfinders was organized to assist and honor veterans of all branches and components of the United States Armed Forces.
Presently there are very few memorials throughout the state of Missouri which recognize the suffering endured by our disabled veterans. It is our desire to provide a memorial which will be an appropriate statewide tribute.
The memorial is in the shape of a pentagon recognizing the five branches of service.
It is handicapped accessible and has permanent seating capable of handling gatherings of 50 plus people. We believe that the design does a marvelous job of honoring the sacrifices made by our warriors.
The cost of the memorial is estimated to be $195,000.00. The City of Union is providing the site at no cost to Pathfinders but construction costs are through private donations. Gifts are tax deductible through the City of Union's tax exempt status. Your gift, no matter the size, will be of great benefit. To make a donation please submit a check payable to the City of Union with a note on the memo that it is for the Disabled Veterans Memorial and mail it to:
