Per Municipal Code Section 405.725, you must have a permit for off-premises temporary signs such as a garage sale. The cost is $3.00 for up to five locations. No sign shall be placed on utility or telephone poles, or within the right-of-way of any street, highway or alley. I have a problem with my neighbor's fence ... tree ... shed ... etc.
If you believe your neighbor has possibly built a structure without a building permit or if you believe that neighbor is breaking a city code of ordinance, you should complete a complaint form.
If you have an issue wih a neighbor's dog, loud noises, etc., please contact the Union Police Department at 636-583-3700.
