Currently, the City staff includes 57 full-time employees. Approximately 35 temporary, seasonal workers are also employed during the summer months. City Departments includes:
In addition, the Board of Aldermen appoints
the positions of City Clerk, Chief of Police and City Attorney, the citizens
elect a City Collector and a Municipal Judge.
The City of Union's Police Department is also located in the central business district at 119 South Church Street. Municipal facilities located outside of the downtown area include Parks Maintenance, the Streets Department, and the Water Department. The City's administrative staff will gladly help with any questions you may have about the community. Union is a full-service city providing
everything from year-round recreational activities on 118 acres of municipal
parkland to full-time police protection to water and sanitary sewer service.
Union
City Hall is located in downtown Union at 500 East Locust Street at
the corner of Linden Street, one block away from the County Courthouse.
Departments housed at City Hall include Administration and Human Resources,
the City Clerk's Office, the City Tax Collector, Community Development,
Engineering and Building Inspections, Municipal Court and the Court Clerk's
Office, and Parks and Recreation.
